Here is an email that I wrote to KM Tech support after a long conversation regarding Toner Scatter. I asked KM for a local shop so that I can go print on another 7450 but no one has come up with one. I appreciate any thoughts and I would be happy to send sample documents. KM has been notified of the problem but no solutions so far. I've also connected to the printer by ethernet and usb, same result. I've tried printing both from Bonjour and Appletalk printers and results are the same for both. However if I purchase a pdf document online, such as an ANSI standard, it prints perfectly clearly, no blurry text. Prior to purchasing the KM I printed on several Phasers 850 860 780 and never a problem. I print the same documents on a Phaser 6250 and the text is perfectly crisp, no blurring. All of these documents when printed exhibit some level of text blurring. I use a Mac OS 10.6 using a variety of document formats, doc, pdf, txt. KM replaced the printer once because of the blurry text printing issue. I've been using a 7450 for over a year now.
